Syed Ali Al Habshee has criticised Shahbudin, who has urged JAWI to probe the Prime Minister's wife episode involving national shuttler, Chong Wei. -
UMNO Cheras division chief Datuk Seri Syed Ali Alhabshee has criticised former Territories UMNO youth member Shahbudin Husin, who has urged the Federal Territories Islamic Department (JAWI) to probe the Prime Minister's wife episode involving national shuttler, Datuk Lee Chong Wei.
Syed Ali, in defence of Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor’s act, said her action could not be compared to that demonstrated by the alleged Malay girls, who were reportedly embraced and kissed by members of a K-Pop band, recently.
As a matter-of-fact, said Syed Ali, Rosmah’s action is akin to a “motherly gesture” demonstrated in appreciation of Chong Wei's achievement in sports.
“Rosmah often says that as the PM’s wife, she is constantly concerned of the welfare of the various ethnic groups in the country,” he said, in his latest blog posting in http://umnobahagiancheras.blogspot.com.
Syed Ali however, said that he regrets that blogger Shahbudin Hussin in a recent blog entry cited JAWI has failed to take any action against Rosmah.
Shahbudin has boldly challenged JAWI to issue an arrest warrant for Rosmah.
The K-Pop controversy surfaced after Sukan Star TV Facebook page posted a video of K-pop band B14A’s in a meet-and-greet session, featuring several tudung-clad girls hugging and kissing by the Korean acts.
