'I have tried my best' - Faizal Azumu announces resignation

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu has announced his resignation as Perak Menteri Besar in a press conference here today.
He said it was after he had an audience with the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah to present his resignation letter.
“Alhamdulillah at 3.00 pm, 5 December 2020, I have been granted an audience with His Majesty the Sultan of Perak Darul Ridzuan, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah Ibni Alhmarhum Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah, Almarghfullah.
“I am very grateful for the consent of His Majesty Paduka Seri Sultan and on that occasion I have presented my resignation letter as Menteri Besar of Perak Darul Ridzuan and all Members of the Perak Darul Ridzuan State Executive Council.
"I offer my gratitute to serve under the auspices of His Majesty the Sultan," he said in a special press conference while admitting the experience was something very meaningful and full of various challenges.
"On behalf of the entire State Government administration that I lead, I apologise for any shortcomings or every single thing that is not liked.
"I have tried to do my best and as an ordinary human being who is not perfect, of course there are mistakes. I seek forgiveness on these," he said.
