MONDAY, Feb 22:
Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah has retained all state executive council (Exco) members from the previous line-up of his predecessor Datuk Seri Mukhriz Tun Mahathir.
UMNO Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz asked Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to step down as UMNO deputy president if he could no longer discharge the responsibilities entrusted on him.
TUESDAY, Feb 23:
The tabling of the Auditor-General's Final Report on 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) to the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) scheduled this week, has been postponed. PAC Chairman Datuk Hassan Arifin said this is because many members of the panel are currently abroad, some performing the Umrah and some are attending other important matters.
Fitch Ratings has affirmed Malaysia's Long-Term Foreign- and Local-Currency Issuer Default Ratings (IDRs) at 'A-' and 'A' respectively with stable outlooks.

FRIDAY, Feb 26:
A Royal Malaysian Air Force aircraft made an emergency landing in Pantai Asam Jawa, in Kuala Selangor at 8.50am. The CN235 aircraft, based in Subang was carrying eight crew members when the incident took place.
UMNO has suspended its deputy president, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin from the party effective immediately, said party secretary-general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor. The decision was made after the UMNO Supreme Council decisive meeting at the party headquarters at Menara Dato' Onn Kuala Lumpur.
SATURDAY, Feb 27:
Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin who was suspended as UMNO deputy president on Friday said he would not appeal against his suspension.
“I had anticipated the UMNO Supreme Council’s decision. It did not come as a surprise to me,” he said in a statement on Facebook.
The 45-year-old UEFA general secretary, a late entrant into the contest, scored a convincing victory over Asian rival Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa in the second round of the vote of 207 members.
