The deal could reshape industries and influence everything from the price of cheese to the cost of cancer treatments.

As the week progressed, focus then shifted to the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) issue where the Malay Rulers called on the government to complete the investigation as soon as possible and take “the appropriate stern action” against all found to be implicated.Tuesday, October 6, 2015: MALAY RULERS WANT 1MDB ISSUE SETTLED SOONEST

Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) then issued a directive to 1MDB to repatriate its investments abroad totalling some US$1.83 billion.The central bank then revealed it had revoked three permissions granted to the strategic investment fund under the Exchange Control Act 1953 (ECA), to make the investments abroad.
The week ended with the discovery of a child’s body, which was later identified as Sasa Sobrie, one of the seven Orang Asli students of SK Tohoi, who had been reported missing since Aug 23, 2015.

The post-mortem conducted on Wednesday found the girl had died about one to two weeks ago.
The remains were found about 800 metres from where the body of Sasa Sobrie was found.

News of a kidnapped five-year-old boy also rocked the nation on Friday after a 20-second video went viral on social media.Eight hours later the boy was found by a taxi driver, who later sent the boy home in Kajang.
The boy was sent to the Kajang Hospital for a medical examination eight hours after he had been kidnapped.
Former Alor Limbat assemblyman, Alias Abdullah, 51, was gunned down at his home in Marang after Friday prayers. Police are still investigating the motive behind the incident.
Alias was a two-term assemblyman for the Alor Limbat state constituency from 2004.
On Saturday, the nation took part in the inaugural Hari Sukan Negara 2015 (National Sports Day 2015) which had been hailed a success by Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin.More than 17,000 activities were held throughout the day such as basketball, wall climbing, bag jump, futsal, archery among others.
