IGP praises policemen for maintaining public order in Sungai Limau
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar has commended policemen for maintaining public order and ensuring the smooth running of the Sungai Limau state by-election.
The police would like to thank all quarters, including the candidates, for their cooperation in ensuring the smooth running of the by-election, he said in his Twitter post Monday.
PAS retained the Sungai Limau state seat with a reduced majority of 1,084 votes when its candidate, Mohd Azam Abd Samat, 37, beat Barisan Nasional's (BN) Dr Ahmad Sohaimi Lazim in the by-election.
