Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani has pledged that his men will continue to give their all in the battle against COVID-19 as the invisible enemy has claimed more than 2,000 lives in the country.
He said police would not slow down in their effort to break the COVID-19 chain of infection despite battling together with other frontliners for more than a year already.
"The COVID-19 virus does not seem to grow tired ... so, as long as we still have the strength to stand and move, we will continue fighting together with others.
"We will never concede defeat," he told a special press conference today on the implementation of the 14-day total lockdown beginning tomorrow.
He said police would do their part to ensure that the country's healthcare system could continue to function well to serve the people.
Acryl Sani urged the people to play their part by adhering to the standard operating procedure set to curb the spread of COVID-19.
