Ikea recalls pasta as precautionary measure for soy allergen
Ikea says customers with an allergy can return PASTALGAR to the Swedish food market at the ground floor of Ikea for a full refund.
Ikea has recalled its elk-shaped pasta, PASTAÄLGAR, as a precautionary measure as it contains soy, which is not declared on the product label.
Sold at the Swedish food market, the company said that the action was taken as safety was of highest priority for Ikea.
"Analysis of PASTAÄLGAR have indicated presence of soy, which is not declared on the product.
"Soy is an allergen and persons allergic to soy may experience an allergic reaction if they eat the product," it said in a statement.
However, the product is safe for anyone who is not allergic to soy, it said, adding that customers with an allergy can return PASTAÄLGAR to the Swedish food market at the ground floor of Ikea for a full refund.
