Immigration Dept announces reduction in passport renewal, application fees

The Immigration Department today announced that the new rate for Malaysian passport renewal and application has been reduced and that the two-year passport is no longer available effective today.

Here is the list of the new passport renewal fee:

1) Ordinary applicants (13 to 59 years old) - RM200

2) Senior citizens (60 years old onwards) - RM100

3) Children (12 years old below) - RM100

4) Citizens studying abroad (21 years old below) - RM100

5) Pilgrims - RM100

6) Disabled - Free

The notice of the latest directive was posted outside immigration offices on Thursday.
