SEPANG: The Ministry of Health (MOH) will collaborate with the pharmaceutical company, Pfizer, to conduct monitoring throughout the National COVID-19 Immunisation Program.

Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba said it was to ensure that the surveillance phase after vaccination could be implemented properly.

"Besides that, the low dead-volume syringe should be used to avoid wastage.

“We will also consult with Pfizer so that our country becomes a producer to be arranged or for distribution internationally.

"Third, God willing (we will study) the delivery technology because it is very important as the Pfizer vaccine requires a temperature of -70 degrees Celsius," he said in a press conference here on Sunday.

Also present were the Coordinating Minister for the National COVID-19 Immunisation Program, Khairy Jamaluddin; Minister of Transport, Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong and Director-General of Health, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
