Indian national found dead at foot of flats

North East District Police chief ACP Gan Kong Meng said police detected a cut on the left wrist of S. Arumugam and found a blood-stained knife in the kitchen sink and blood stains in the living room of a unit of the flats on the ninth floor where he had lived.

Police also found a Penang Hospital outpatient card in his name and medication for diabetes at his flat, he added.

Arumugam's body, which was found at about 10 pm, was sent to the hospital for a post mortem, he said. Gan said Arumugam had entered the country legally and lived alone as his wife was in India.
