Indonesian inmate escapes from Kluang prison

A 35-year old Indonesian inmate escaped while tidying camping equipment in the Kluang Prison Department's store here today.
Kluang district police chief, ACP Mohd Roze Shaari, said a prison officer noticed the missing of the inmate at about 10 am.
"The inmate, who is dark-skinned and 157cm tall, is believed to have escaped after being granted a permission to take a break.
"He was last seen wearing the green prison uniform," he told Bernama when contacted here.
Mohd Roze said efforts to track down prisoner were underway at each entry and exit points, including at public transport terminals.
"We are also using the service of the Royal Malaysian Police's Detection Dogs Unit (K9) to track him down," he added.
