An Indonesian man was feared dead in a landslide incident involving a workers' quarters at a vegetable farm in Jalan Desa Corina, Kampung Raja here on Tuesday.
Cameron Highlands district police chief DSP Wan Zahari Wan Busu said the victim, known as Zainullah, 27, was believed to be trapped in the house during the landslide which occurred at 5.30pm.
"During the mishap, the victim, along with nine of his co-workers, who are all Indonesians, were taking a break. All of the other workers managed to get out of the house but Zainullah was believed to have been trapped inside," he told reporters here on Tuesday night.
He said the workers' quarters, which was located on a hill amidst the vegetable farm, was about 20 metres away from the Taman Desa Corina housing estate.
As at 10 pm, the search for the victim was still ongoing, he added.
