A Malaysian who was injured in the recent attack in Nice has shown no signs of internal bleeding or neurological damage, and the critical period for him has passed, Channel NewsAsia reported Tuesday.
Quoting the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), the news portal said doctors were reviewing the medical test results of Esmond Chuah, the university's third year student.
Chuah sustained a fracture in his back in the attack.
The report said Chuah would be repatriated only after the hospital has cleared him for travel.
Twelve students from the university are in the French resort city for a summer programme.
READ: Who were the Nice attack victims?
SUTD has sent a senior staff member to Nice to support Chuah, as well as the other 11 students on Tuesday, in addition to the insurance company's emergency team, it said.
On July 15, Chuah's father Chuah Tze Leng posted in his Facebook that his son managed to contact him that evening.
"He is okay but hospitalised due to a fracture at his back. He was hit by the side of the white truck which carried firearm and grenades and luckily that did not explode.
"Hospital CT scan also showed trauma in his lung and stomach," Tze Leng had said.
On the same day, Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it was aware and providing assistance to "an SUTD student who has been injured".
More than 80 people were reportedly killed and many others injured when a truck rammed into a crowd during France's Bastille Day celebrations in Nice, southern France on July 14.
