KUALA LUMPUR: Inter-state and inter-district travel are not still allowed in states under Phase One and Phase Two of the National Recovery Plan (PPN), except for those with vaccination appointments.
Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said individuals with vaccination dates out of their respective districts and states must show the authorities proof of their appointments, such as via MySejahtera, the COVID-19 Vaccine Supplies Access Guarantee Special Committee website or short messaging service (SMS) message.
"Only two household representatives are allowed to go out to buy basic necessities within a 10-kilometre radius of their residence, while for medical treatment and vaccination, only three people including patients are allowed," he said in a statement today.
He said social activities that can lead to crowds and made it difficult to observe physical distancing were also still prohibited.
"We hope the public will continue to comply with standard operating procedures (SOP) issued by the National Security Council (MKN) so that the COVID-19 pandemic can be contained. The public's efforts and cooperation are needed to ensure PPN's success," he said.
Acryl Sani said individuals found violating the SOPs set will be subject to punishment under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 (Act 342).
