Intimate photo: "That's not Dyana" - Yammy

Dyana Sofya Mohd Daud’s mother Yammy Samat denies that the woman pictured in an intimate manner in a photo was her daughter.

As reported in Sinar Harian, Yammy said that her daughter, the former candidate of the Teluk Intan by-election is not in a relationship with the Bukit Bendera MP, Zairil Khir Johari.

The photo of two individuals which resembled Dyana and Zairil went viral on social media platforms.

“That’s not Dyana. Dyana and Zairil are not an item,” she was quoted as saying in Sinar Harian.

She said, the issue was an attempt to distract the people from bigger issues.

“If it’s Anwar Ibrahim or Azmin Ali, they can slander and design many photos, this is just Dyana. This is not a new thing as it happened during the Teluk Intan by-election.

“If you think logically, as a well-respected MP, Zairil will not do anything that would tarnish his image,” she said.

She described those responsible for spreading the photos as “running out of ideas.”

She added, she has not thought of any further actions as there are pending court cases involving several politicians still underway.
