The investigation papers into the kidnapping of a five-year-old boy in Kajang last Friday will soon be submitted to the deputy public prosecutor for further action.
"There will be no further arrest as this is a clear-cut case," Selangor police deputy chief Datuk Abd Rahim Jaafar told a press conference at the state police headquarters here today.
On Friday, the police arrested four men, including the suspected mastermind, in connection with the kidnapping of the victim for a RM300,000 ransom.
The suspects, aged between 28 and 45, including an Indonesian and a taxi driver who sent the boy home, were picked up separately on the same day.
In the incident at 9.26am, the boy was kidnapped by three men when he was sent by his mother to a kindergarten in Sungai Chua.
He was freed and sent home by the taxi driver after his father paid the ransom money.
In another development, Abd Rahim said a total of 65 cyclists, including 15 policemen would cycle 560km from Shah Alam to Desaru in Johor to promote the cycling culture among the public.
He said 14 cycling clubs, including the Selangor Police Cycling Club would participate in the three-day programme, held in conjunction with the National Sports Day.
He said the cycling expedition would be flagged off at 7am tomorrow, from the Selangor police headquarters.
