ISIS CEO Datuk Dr Mahani passes away

Institute of Strategic & International Studies (ISIS) Malaysia chief executive officer Datuk Dr Mahani Zainai Abidin passes away due to cancer.

According to Bernama, she passed away at UKM Medical Centre around 2pm.

"My condolences to the family of Dr Mahani of ISIS. She was a strong lady. She will be missed," said IDEAS chief executive officer Wan Saiful Wan Jan on his Twitter account.

Dr Mahani, who obtained a Ph. D from the University of London in 1992, was a board member of the Employees Provident Fund from 1998 to 2000, Deputy Chairman of the National Accreditation Board from 2003 to 2007 and a Council Member of the National Economic Advisory Council (NEAC) from 2009 to 2011.
