Jalan Parlimen among four major roads to be closed for rally
MOHD NADZRI: 430 traffic policemen would be on duty to ensure smooth traffic flow during the period.
Jalan Sultan Salahuddin and Jalan Parlimen are among four major roads which will be closed to all vehicles in stages from 6am to 6pm tomorrow, depending on the development of the Himpunan Rakyat Bersatu rally in Padang Merbok here.
Kuala Lumpur traffic police chief ACP Mohd Nadzri Hussain said two other roads to be closed were Jalan Berjasa and Jalan Persiaran Sultan Salahudin.
He said the affected routes were Jalan Parlimen, Jalan Kinabalu, Jalan Sultan Salahuddin, Dato Onn Roundabout, Jalan Raja Laut, Jalan Kinabalu/Susur Jalan Hishamuddin, Jalan Pudu/ Tun Tan Cheng Lock, Jalan Kuching, Jalan Raja, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Jalan Munsyi Abdullah/Jalan Dang Wangi, Sultan Mohammad Roundabout, Jalan Damansara, Hishamuddin Roundabout, Jalan Kuching/Jalan Tun Razak, Jalan Sultan Ismail, Jalan Conlay, Jalan Raja Chulan, Jalan Leboh Ampang/Jalan Tun Perak and Jalan Sultan Ismail/Jalan Ampang.
The list of roads closed to traffic on Sept 16.
A total of 430 traffic policemen would be on duty to ensure smooth traffic flow during the period, he told a media conference at the Kuala Lumpur Traffic Operations Room today.
Motorists can contact the Kuala Lumpur traffic police operations room at 03-2071-9777 and Kuala Lumpur City Hall Hotline at 03-26179378 to make enquiries on closures of the roads concerned and their detours.
