Jamal Yunos offers accommodation for flood victims
Jamal also said he would provide RM200 cash assistance to each of the families to buy essential goods.
Sungai Besar UMNO Division chief Datuk Seri Jamal Md Yunos has offered help to flood victims sheltered at Dewan Sri Bernam relief centre in Sabak Bernam by offering a free stay at his resort effective last night.
He said each affected family affected by floods four days ago, would be given a room and meals for free at the Sekin Fishermen Village Hotel and Resort in Sekinchan until flood waters subside.
"I've known most of the victims personally as they are from the Sungai Besar parliamentary constituency with low-income. I hope my efforts will at least provide some comfort to them.
"We have also cancelled several bookings and will not receive new reservation to give way for the victims which now stands at 50," he said when contacted by Bernama here.
Jamal also said he would provide RM200 cash assistance to each of the families to buy essential goods.
