Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak continues to receive congratulatory messages from world leaders on his re-appointment as Malaysia's prime minister, the latest coming from Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Chinese Premier Li Keqiang.
In a separate statement, Abe said Japan and Malaysia enjoyed the multi-layered bond underpinned by human exchange based on the 'Look East Policy', in addition to economic ties through thriving trade and investment.
"I wish to continue to work with you to ensure peace and prosperity in the Asia-Pacific region while further developing our cordial bilateral relations.
"I am looking forward to meeting with you and engaging in a frank exchange of views on regional and global issues, as well as bilateral relations," he said.
Meanwhile, Li said China and Malaysia were traditionally friendly neighbours and the relation had advanced ahead of that between China and other Asean countries.
