Johor Baru needs to come up with a comprehensive plan to meet the housing needs of foreign workers who are flooding the city as result of the Iskandar Malaysia project, said UDA Holdings Berhad chairman Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed.

He said they need to be housed in special hostels and watched over by the police and Immigration Department.

"If they are allowed to stay wherever they like without any supervision, it will lead to problems. If we cannot trace where they are, we will not know what they are up to," he told reporters after participating in a "Jom Cuci JB" community programme in Taman Sri Bahagia here today.
