KUALA LUMPUR: The Shared Prosperity Vision 2030 Executive Committee (JEKB) held its first meeting to discuss issues related to the Shared Prosperity Vision (WKB 2030) in Putrajaya yesterday.

JEKB in a statement said one of the issues discussed was the function of the Shared Prosperity Delivery Unit (SEPADU) under the Prime Minister's Department tasked to coordinate the monitoring of the implementation of WKB 2030.

The meeting was chaired by Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Special Functions) Datuk Seri Mohd Redzuan Yusof, it said.

"The meeting also discussed the programmes and publicity activities to be held by ministries, agencies and government-linked companies to increase awareness among Malaysians on government efforts to achieve the aspirations and objectives of the WKB 2030," it said adding that the committee also discussed the monitoring mechanism to be implemented by SEPADU, proposed alignment of strategic projects and proposed development of companies and entrepreneurs of the target groups.

Also present were the deputy minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Special Functions) Datuk Mastura Mohd Yazid, chief secretaries, state secretaries, and relevant heads of departments.

It added all decisions made in the meeting would be brought for approval by the Shared Prosperity Action Council (MTKB) that will convene soon and will be chaired by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
