Police will seek a remand order against the trailer driver who caused an accident that killed eight people at KM25 Jalan Bahau-Keratong near field Risda Palong, Jempol yesterday. -Bernama
Police will seek a remand order against the trailer driver who caused an accident that killed eight people at KM25 Jalan Bahau-Keratong near field Risda Palong, Jempol yesterday.
Jempol district police chief Supt Noorzainy Mohd Noor said at the moment, the 44-year-old driver is in police custody under Section 41 of the Road Transport Act 1987.
"The driver is not injured, he is in custody for an investigation and we might remand him tomorrow. Urine test conducted and it tested negative,” he said.
Yesterday, eight people were killed, including six who were burnt in their vehicle when it burst into flames, in an accident involving four vehicles.
The crash, which occurred at about 2.20pm, involved a trailer, a Perodua Myvi car, a Proton Exora and a Toyota Vios car.
