Johor Sultan confers DMIJ on four individuals

JOHOR BAHRU: The Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, today conferred the Darjah Sultan Ibrahim Johor Yang Amat Disanjungi Pangkat Yang Kedua, Dato’ Mulia Sultan Ibrahim Johor (DMIJ), which carries the title ‘Datuk’ on four individuals.
They are Johor Health director Dr Aman Rabu, Iskandar Puteri City Council mayor Salehuddin Hassan, Mejar Cina David Wong Khoong Soon and Sultan Ibrahim Johor Foundation (YSIJ) trustee Avinderjit Singh Harjit Singh.
Wong, a descendant of Wong Ah Fook, was appointed a 'Mejar Cina’ with the consent of Sultan Ibrahim, in September, to carry out his duties and collaborated with YSIJ in coordinating, organising and implementing the distribution of foodstuff and aid to the people of Johor.
According to a post uploaded on the Sultan of Johor’s official Facebook account, the investiture ceremony was held at Balai Mengadap, Istana Pasir Pelangi, today, in conjunction with Sultan Ibrahim’s 62nd birthday.
The ceremony was also attended by Tunku Mahkota Johor, Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim.
Others present included Menteri Besar Datuk Ir Hasni Mohammad and state secretary Datuk Azmi Rohani.
