Johor Sultan has breakfast with Muar folk

The Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, made a surprise visit to this town early Monday and joined the 'rakyat' (people) for breakfast at a restaurant.

The Sultan, who was accompanied by Muar District Officer Ramlee A. Rahman, arrived here at 6.45am and joined the people for breakfast at the Al Ziya Fathima Restaurant at the Mas Jaya Commercial Centre in Jalan Salleh.

The Ruler had 'roti canai' with mutton and chicken curry and an iced ginger drink.

Sultan Ibrahim spent almost an hour chatting with the people and had photographs taken with some of them who were excited about taking pictures with their Ruler.

The Sultan then drove his four-wheel-drive vehicle to Istana Tanjung.
