Johor Sultan wins bid for 'F1' registration number

The Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Almarhum Sultan Iskandar won in his bid for the vehicle registration number F1, Putrajaya's new number.
He won the number for RM836,660.
The outcome of the bidding for the registration number F was posted at the Vehicle Licensing Division, Level 3 of the Transport Ministry here today.
The results listed "DYMM Sultan Ibrahim" as the winner for the registration number F1.
The Road Transport Department in an earlier statement said it received 11,683 bids for the F series of numbers.
The numbers were opened for bidding on June 1 and closed at noon on June 14.
According to RTD, this was the second highest bidding for registration numbers after the WWW series issued by Kuala Lumpur Federal Territory RTD in 2012.
In 2014, the Sultan won the number W1N with his bid of RM748,000 and in 2012, for WWW1 with a bid of RM520,000.
RTD estimated its collection for the F series to reach RM7 million.
