Join Bridgestone’s 15th anniversary celebration

To celebrate 15 years in Malaysia, Bridgestone Malaysia has decided to contribute back to the society. The company made a donation of RM75,000 to the National Cancer Society Malaysia as the sponsor of the “Relay for Life Malaysia” cancer awareness charity event.

The 16-hour relay was held on the 5th-6th September at Dataran Petaling Jaya and was flagged off by the Guest of Honour, Y.M.M Raja Permaisuri Perak Darul Ridzuan, Tuanku Zara Salim. Participants include members of Bridgestone Malaysia staff along with their family, together with cancer survivors and their caregivers with members of the general public took turns to walk the track from 6pm on Saturday to 10am to Sunday in support of cancer awareness.

But the relay was only just the main event, Bridgestone Malaysia had also prepared a host of activities with exciting gifts to be given away to raise funds for NCSM during the carnival. Other than the giveaways, there is also a Photo Wall contest happening on Bridgestone Malaysia’s Facebook page for a chance to win a set of four Bridgestone tyres for their cars.

The funds raised during the “Relay for Life” event will be used to educate society about early detection and prevention of cancer and providing suitable care for cancer patients with screening facilities. Part of the funds will also be allocated to organise future events to support cancer patients to improve their quality of life.
