The judge and others involved in the murder trial of Kim Chol or Kim Jong-nam, the brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un visited the alleged scene at Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (klia2) here today.

The two accused, Indonesian Siti Aisyah, 25, and Vietnamese Doan Thi Huong, 28, were also present under police escort and wearing bulletproof jackets.

The visit was requested by the defence lawyers who wanted to familiarise themselves with the alleged location as recorded by the closed-circuit television cameras in regard to the movement of the two accused.

The group was led to the self check-in kiosk at Level 3 where the two accused had allegedly pressed a piece of VX poison-laced cloth to Kim Chol’s face, and to Menara Medical Clinic at Level 2 where Kim Chol received treatment after the incident.

The group was heavily guarded including by Special Task Force On Organised Crime (Stafoc) personnel from Bukit Aman.

The two women are accused with four others still at large, of killing Kim Chol at klia2 at 9 am on Feb 13.

They face the death sentence if convicted, under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
