The Government has agreed to give an additional day off on July 8 to all civil servants, only if Hari Raya Aidilfitri falls on July 6.
Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Ali Hamsa, in a statement today, said if Hari Raya Aidilfitri falls on July 5, then the extra holiday would not take effect.
"Members of the public who seek Federal services on that day are advised to visit the agencies and departments before the holidays," he said.
Ali also hoped that civil servants would be able to enjoy the additional day off to celebrate Aidilfitri with their families and loved ones.
