Kedah Immigration nab 10 foreigners, a local at funfair
He said inspection revealed that the nine Myanmar nationals had overstayed in the country, while the Pakistani man violated the terms of his pass.
The Kedah Immigration Department detained 10 foreign men and one local during a raid at a funfair site in Taman Mahsuri, Jitra here, last night.
Its director Mohamad Yusri Hashim said nine Myanmar nationals and one Pakistani, aged between 18 and 35, were arrested at about 9.15pm while they were working at the site.
He said inspection revealed that the nine Myanmar nationals had overstayed in the country, while the Pakistani man violated the terms of his pass.
He said the 34-year-old local man who employed them was investigated for harbouring foreign nationals.
