A telecommunication company helped identify the location of the calls and short messaging service (SMS) made and received by the accused in events involving the murder of senior deputy public prosecutor Datuk Anthony Kevin Morais, the High Court was told Tuesday.
[The telco engineer] said the identification of locations were made following a directive from investigating officer, Inspector Ahmad Zikri.
He explained that the locations obtained from the telco substations were located close to where the calls were made and among the locations identified were Taman Segambut; Taman Duta; Section 51, Petaling Jaya industrial area; Kampung Melayu Subang; Taman Eng Ann, Klang; Taman Subang Mewah, Subang; Summit Complex, USJ and Padang Meha, Kulim.

Pathologist Col Dr R. Kunaseegaran, 54, the first accused, had pleaded not guilty to a charge of abetting the five men in the murder on the same day and at the same time and place.
"I received a directive from the investigating officer to identify locations closest to the calls and SMSes were made and received by two numbers registered with the telco, namely 0126985816 and 0177625371," said Hoh, 33.
To a question from deputy public prosecutor Saiful Edris Zainuddin on who the owners of both numbers were, he said they were registered under the names of Dr Kunaseegaran and Nimalan.
