Kg Tanjung Batu residents will go home by Saturday
Residents of Kampung Tanjung Batu will be allowed to enter their housing area and return to their daily livelihoods by this Saturday.
Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Hamza Taib said the damage assessment of the war-torn village will be conducted tomorrow.
“Tomorrow, we will bring in our damage assessment team together with our district officer, government agencies, village head and head of families to conduct the operation.
“After that we will conduct our evaluation before allowing them to enter the village on Saturday,” he said at a press conference today.
However, Hamza cautioned that only those will documents will be allowed in.
“If they do not possess any documents, we will relocate them to a nearby area. We will also try to find jobs for them,” he said.
