Jan 2 marks the first day of school for the 2014 school session in many states and parents, especially those who are sending their children to standard one.
The excited parents, including politicians and local celebrities, shared pictures of their equally excited children on the social media like Twitter and Instagram.
Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin shared a picture of his son attending the first day of school on his Twitter page.
Lembah Pantai MP Nurul Izzah Anwar, also shared pictures of her daughter’s first day at school on her Instagram page.
Local singer Datuk Sheila Majid also shared pictures of her youngest daughter enrolling in year one, on her Instagram page.
Singer and actress, Ifa Raziah also joined the bandwagon by sharing a picture of her children getting ready for school.
Other parents, also shared pictures of their little ones attending school on the first day.
The first day of school was not without its drama, with several standard one pupils getting stuck in their chairs.
