The police today ordered the 10 people identified to have been involved in the fracas outside the Parliament lobby this morning to surrender themselves to assist in investigation.
Among them was Firdaus Tajuddin, the son of Pasir Salak Member of Parliament (MP) Datuk Tajuddin Abdul Rahman.
Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Amar Singh Ishar Singh said all of them would be investigated under Section 147 of the Penal Code for rioting.
"Police have identified 10 individuals involved in the incident and we want them to come forward to assist in investigations," he said in a statement.
The 10 individuals are:
1. Mohd Rizal Shafie
2. Arifin Mohamed Ali
3. Hasnah Md Razali
4. Erwan Halmi
5. Firdaus Tajuddin
6. Sapiah Aini Sulaiman
7. Norfirdaus Ahmad Zania
8. Azmir Ahmad
9. Mohd Saffek Mohd Saleh
10. Mohd Faizal Saidina Omar
The police have also advised the public, especially party supporters and politicians, not to take any action which is against the law.
The fracas which took place at around noon today was believed to be a follow up from the action of Shah Alam MP Khalid Abdul Samad, who allegedly used vulgar words against Tajuddin in the Dewan Rakyat on Monday.
Khalid acted as such after Tajuddin earlier used a cynical word against Seputeh MP Teresa Kok.
