The ten individuals involved in the ruckus outside Parliament lobby yesterday have been given time until 2pm today to surrender.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said the men will be arrested if they do not surrender.
Describing the incident as embarrassing, Khalid said the matter is being investigated under Section 147 of the Penal Code for rioting.
"We are giving them time until this afternoon to surrender. If not, we will arrest them. We know where they are,” he said at a press conference today.
Yesterday, police identified the 10 people who were involved in the fracas outside the Parliament lobby and ordered them to surrender themselves to assist in investigation.
Among them was Firdaus Tajuddin, the son of Pasir Salak Member of Parliament (MP) Datuk Tajuddin Abdul Rahman.
In the incident which happened at about noon yesterday, a group of men who claimed to be with Pasir Salak UMNO division had assaulted Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad.
They are believed to have done so following Khalid's refusal to retract and apologise over his 'menteri sial' remark in Dewan Rakyat on Monday.
