Any statements from the Malaysian Royal Police (PDRM) on issues related to the death of North Korean leader's half-brother Kim Jong Nam will only interfere with the Malaysian government's plan at the moment.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said that currently there was 'something going on' involving the issues and the media had been urged to be patient.
Khalid also called on all parties to cooperate so that the plan would be accomplished.
"Something is going on, when the time comes, there will be statement to be issued. Maybe not from me but from the other side. Any statement now (on Jong Nam issue) will only interfere with the government's plan," said Khalid, who declined to comment further.
He was met after attending the 'Bingkisan Kasih Orang Kota Bharu (OKB) with PDRM' programme, in which he was conferred with the Tokoh Satria Negara award by the OKB Association, here Wednesday.
Also present were Secretary-General of the Communications and Multimedia Ministry Datuk Dr Sharifah Zarah Syed Ahmad and Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Noor Rashid Ibrahim. -- Bernama
