King presents credentials to Syarie Chief Judge of FT Syariah Court

Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Muhammad V has presented the credentials to Syarie Chief Judge of the Federal Territory Syariah Court Datuk Mahammad Ibrahim in a simple ceremony at the Istana Negara last night.
Also receiving their credential letters were Syariah Appeal Court judges Tan Sri Dr Ibrahim Lembut, Datuk Seri Dr Md Yusup Che Teh, Datuk Aidi Mokhtar, Datuk Yusof Musa, Datuk Mukhyuddin Ibrahim and Saarani Ismail.
At the ceremony, the Sultan also presented letters of appointment to five Syariah High Court judges, 22 Syariah Lower Court judges (22) and a Chief Registrar of Syariah Appeal Court.
Earlier, His Majesty also presented the letter of appointment as Federal Territories Islamic Religious Council (MAIWP) chairman to Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom, and also to Malaysian Islamic Development Department director-general Tan Sri Othman Mustapha as MAIWP deputy chairman and 21 other individuals as its members.
