King receives credentials of 12 foreign envoys to Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, received the credentials of nine foreign envoys to Malaysia at Istana Negara, here, today.
The nine foreign envoys are Thepthavone Sengmany of Laos, Niklas Wiberg (Sweden), Anne Vasara (Finland) and Kirstine Vangkilde Berner (Denmark).
Others are Ali Mohamed Abukar (Federal Republic of Somalia), Rafael Daerr (European Union), Jodi Robinson (Canada), Marta Laura Gabrieloni (Argentina), and Jimmy Ovia (Papua New Guinea).
At the ceremony, Sultan Ibrahim also presented instruments of appointment to Malaysian Ambassador to Algeria, Rizany Irwan Muhamad Mazlan, and Malaysian High Commissioner to Canada, Datuk Dr Shazelina Zainul Abidin.
Also present at the ceremony were Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan, Foreign Ministry deputy secretary-general (Bilateral Affairs) Datuk Ahmad Rozian Abd Ghani and Wisma Putra Chief of Protocol Datuk Yubazlan Yusof.
