The official car of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong was involved in an accident with the escort car near the Slim River exit of the North-South Expressway south of here today, police said.
No one was injured and the official car was not carrying the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah, or the Raja Permaisuri Agong, Tuanku Hajah Haminah, at that time, said Tanjung Malim Police chief Supt Osman Nayan.
The escort car, a Mercedes Benz, travelling ahead of the official car braked to avoid hitting another vehicle and the official car knocked into it in the 11.30 am incident when they were headed north, he told Bernama when contacted.
The official car and the escort car suffered some damage, to the front and rear portions, respectively, he said.
