NIK NAZMI: The culmination of the #KitaLawan rally will proceed on March 7 as planned.
Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad has confirmed that the police has given the green light for the #KitaLawan rally to continue on March 7.
The PKR Youth chief said this followed his meeting with Dang Wangi police chief, Asst Comm Zainol Samah and some 10 other police officers at the Dang Wangi district police headquarters this morning.
"After a discussion with the police, we will continue with the rally.
"The most important thing is we get the support of the people to come down to the rally tomorrow (Feb 28) and March 7 which is the culmination of the #KitaLawan rally," he said.
When asked about the expected turnout, Nik Nazmi replied: "As many as possible."
Also present during the meet this morning was Anak Muda activist Adam Adli who confirmed that the rally will continue without any changes.
"It will still be held in Kuala Lumpur, specifically around Sogo area. The police has been informed about what will happen. From the discussion, the rally will continue without any changes," he said.
DAP Youth chief Teoh Kok Seng said security remains a priority for the March 7 rally.
"Our main concern during the meeting was security and traffic flow. The organisers will assure that both factors will be well-controlled.
"The police has suggested for the rally to take place in a stadium but the organisers have to discuss on that," he said.
Meanwhile, PAS Youth deputy secretary Mohd Faizul Mohd Salleh urged for no provocation to take place on March 7.
"As a representative for PAS Youth, I'm urging everyone to refrain from provocation.
"We do not want any problems. We need to work together to ensure that we do not create any problems," he said.
