#KitaLawan: Remand rejected, PAS's Khalid Samad released

Shah Alam member of parliament, Khalid Samad who was arrested early this morning, was released after police failed to obtain a remand.
His lawyer, Michelle Yesudas, who tweeted the matter, said Khalid together with the two students who were detained in connection to the #KitaLawan rally, were released today.
Khalid was picked up from his home by the police at 3.20am, Sunday and brought to the Dang Wangi police headquarters.
Bernama reported that according to Kuala CID chief SAC Zainuddin Ahmad, Khalid was arrested under Section 143 of the Penal Code.
Yesterday, Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) vice-president Tian Chua was re-arrested in connection to the #KitaLawan rally while the party's secretary-general Rafizi Ramli was arrested On Friday at his service centre in Kuala Lumpur, under the Sedition Act 1948, in connection with the #KitaLawan rally.
Rafizi's detention was allegedly linked to rallying supporters to gather at the anti-government #KitaLawan rally. Prior to this, Rafizi who is also PKR secretary-general was arrested under Sedition Act 1948 to assist in investigations over the #KitaLawan rally on March 7.
