One of four men detained after the #KitaLawan gathering which was held here Saturday evening, is a wanted man.
Johor Police chief Datuk Seri Mohd Mokhtar Mohd Shariff said the man was wanted in connection with a serious offence committed in 2009 in Kuala Lumpur.
He said follow-up action on the man would be carried out.
Mohd Mokhtar was speaking to reporters after a handing-over of duties ceremony involving the post of Johor Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department (KJPJKK) head Sunday.
KJPJKK deputy chief ACP Wahab Haron took over the post from SAC Nor Azizan Anan who retires today.
On Saturday, South Johor Baharu police chief ACP Sulaiman Salleh confirmed that the four people detained included Bukit Batu State Assemblyman Jimmy Puah and Mengkibol State Assemblyman Tan Hong Pin.
They were found to have given short speeches to more than 50 participants who were dressed in black and carrying banners with the messages, 'Reject GST' and 'Kita Lawan', among others, during the gathering which started at 4pm.
According to Mohd Mokhtar, three of the four were released on police bail after their statements were recorded while the other was still detained.
