KL 2017: 500 policemen to be stationed in Nilai

Datuk Seri Zulkifli Abdullah said the police will also place scanners at the entrances of the velodrome and at hotels occupied by the athletes.
Some 500 policemen will be deployed at the National Velodrome, hotels occupied by athletes, the BMX tracks and routes for the highway cycling events during the 2017 SEA Games (KL 2017) to ensure security.
Bukit Aman's Internal Security and Public public Order Department director Datuk Seri Zulkifli Abdullah said the police will also place scanners at the entrances of the velodrome and at hotels occupied by the athletes.
"I was briefed by Negeri Sembilan Police chief Datuk Noor Azam Jamaludin today on the preparation made. I am very satisfied with the security arrangements for the venues involved," he told reporters after making a security inspection of the National Velodrome.
Also present was Negeri Sembilan Police deputy chief Datuk Muhamad Zaki Harun.Commenting further, Zulkifli said the police would also be stationing two mobile police stations, besides placing members on the North-South Expressway, (PLUS) to help smoothen the traffic flow.
