The Kuala Lumpur-Karak Expressway is closed to all traffic at KM52.4 until Saturday for works to clear up mudslide on all lanes.
Bentong police chief Supt Mohamad Mansor Mohd Nor said, however, the reopening of the stretch would depend on the weather condition and advice from slope experts.
"If the mudslide recurs, we may have to extend the closure of the expressway," he told Bernama Thursday.
Mansor also advised road users to be patient and take alternative routes provided.
The landslide near Lentang-Bukit Tinggi at 6.30pm yesterday had caused a mud flood of nearly 500 metres along the route.
Only three private vehicles and a transporting lorry were stranded in the area and no casualty was reported.
