For those who love to shop, the newly opened Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2) is equipped with retail spaces for just about everything under one roof.
Over 200 local and international brand outlets, restaurants and cafes are available for visitors to the largest low-cost terminal in the world.
According to Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) senior general manager (operation services) Datuk Azmi Murad, KLIA2 is capable of accommodating to all the needs of its visitors and passengers.
The low-cost terminal (LCCT) was officially vacated after AirAsia’s last flight to Kolkota departed at 10.30pm on Thursday.
KLIA2 officially began its operation on May 2 before witnessing the participation of AirAsia on Friday.
The airport is able to accommodate almost 45,000 passengers per day and 45 million passengers in a year.
It is built with the cost of RM4 billion with an area of 257,000 square metre.
It also has 6,000 parking bays.
The passengers of AirAsia also praised the comfort provided in KLIA2.
