A total of 28 patients of KPJ Sabah Specialist Hospital were evacuated following a fire at about 5.30am today.
Sabah Fire and Rescue Department said the incident involved main control room which caught on fire.
The firemen were called when the hospital staff had difficulty in putting out the fire due to the thick smoke.
Firemen managed to put out the fire at 8.17am.
No one was injured in the incident. The authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire.
