Kuching police seize drugs valued at RM357,450

The Kuching police headquarters today seized RM357,450 worth of ganja, eramin 5 and syabu in two separate raids around the city yesterday evening and early today.
Kuching police chief ACP Roslan Bek Ahmad said in the first raid at 4pm yesterday at a house in Taman BDC, Stampin here, police confiscated 0.42 gramme of ganja, 15 eramin 5 pills and 0.15 gramme of syabu.
"The overall value of drugs seized was RM107,450. In the raid, police also apprehended three men, aged 21, 28 and 36 years, believed to be involved in trafficking and abusing drugs.
"The three men were later screened positive for THC (etrahydrocannabinol) drug and were now remanded until this Feb 2," he said here today.
Elaborating further, Roslan said in the second raid at 12.05 am this morning at a house in Taman Siol Ria here, police recovered one kilogramme of ganja worth RM250,000.
"Police also detained a man and a woman, both aged 29 years, suspected of trafficking and usage of drugs.
"The couple were remanded until Feb 5. Initial tests, showed the man was screened positive for THC while the woman was tested negative," he said.
