Landlord find Bangladeshi man's body in septic tank

A Bangladeshi construction worker was found dead in a septic tank in Kampung Pelandas, Pulau Serai, here, Thursday morning.

Dungun Police chief Supt Ahmad Zailani Yaacob said the body of Hussin, 43, was found by his landlord at about 10am.

"Earlier, the 42-year-old landlord went looking for Hussin at the house after his 15 phone calls went unanswered.

"Then he saw blood stains on the floor which led him to find a body in a five metre deep septic tank outside the house," he told reporters at the scene.

The deceased's sleeping area is also stained with blood, on the floor.

The body was taken to the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital, Kuantan for post-mortem.

Police said some villagers reported seeing the victim involved in a fight with a Myanmar national Wednesday afternoon.
