KOTA KINABALU: A Ministry of Health (MOH) medicine storage facility was destroyed in a landslide in Kampung Kopungit here last night.
The Sabah Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Operations Centre, in a statement, said three vehicles and a motorcycle belonging to MOH personnel, as well as three public vehicles were also buried in the incident.
"The incident happened last night. However, Sabah JBPM only received a report of the incident at 11.19 am today. No injuries or casualties were reported. No operations were carried out, except to monitor and collect information at the scene.
"The JBPM has notified the police to inform the village head to order the villagers to vacate their houses in the surrounding areas as a security measure," according to the statement.
The Sabah JBPM had also set up barriers at the incident area as a security measure to prevent more serious incidents and ensure that members of the public do not enter the area.
