A landslide hit Batu 15 Jalan Gombak-Bentong following heavy rain since 3.30 am on Monday.
Roadcare Sdn Bhd supervisor Muhammad Nor Shafiq Khusaini said the landslide stretched 15 metres high and 39 metres long.
"Fifteen workers are placing canvas sheets to cover the debris to prevent more landslides. The entrance of Jalan Gombak to Jalan Bentong Lama and from Genting Sempah are closed to traffic," he told Bernama.
A check found the landslide had closed the road to Bentong and only the road to Gombak was open but posed a risk to road users.
Meanwhile, Gombak Police chief ACP Ali Ahmad advised road users to use the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway as an alternative route.
"The Public Works Department has closed the road to all traffic for repairs.
No one was hurt in the landslide," he said.
